Universal Enterprises has donated two PCR testing machines to the Ministry of Health to help the government in the fight against coronavirus in the Maldives.
Health Minister Abdulla Ameen said via a tweet, “Ministry of Health wishes to thank Universal Enterprises Pvt Ltd for the timely contribution of 2 PCR machines to strengthen COVID19 testing capacity in the country,”
The PCR testing machine was donated on Tuesday and it follows a donation of 20,000 test kits by the company in June 2020.
Universal Enterprises is one of the largest conglomerates in the Maldives operating the largest collection of resorts in the Maldives. The company suspended all of its operations to align with the government’s preventive measure to contain the outbreak of the coronavirus.
All the Universal resorts are set to reopen and resume its operations in October.
