Male’, Maldives, 10th April 2024 – The eighth cruise ship of the season, MS. AIDAbella, has made its arrival in the Maldives, bringing with it over 2,000 passengers. The Italian vessel, known for its grandeur with 13 decks and 1035 cabins, docked outside Male’ City on April 8th, 2024, after departing from Langkawi, Malaysia.
Carrying 2,148 passengers and accompanied by 650 crew members, MS. AIDAbella will remain berthed in the Maldives for two days before continuing its journey to Muscat. During their stay, passengers had the opportunity to embark on various excursions within Male City and neighboring islands, including CROSSROADS Maldives, Maafushi, and Hulhumale’.
The arrival of MS. AIDAbella signals a continuing trend of cruise ship tourism in the Maldives, with three more ships scheduled to visit during the month of April, including Artania, coming from Colombo on its way to Muscat. MS. AIDAbella’s return to the port of Male’ marks a repeat visit for the vessel, which previously called at the port in November 2023.
Operated by AIDA Kreuzfahrten (Cruises), MS. AIDAbella is currently on a 15-day, one-way journey from Singapore to Dubai.
