Male’, Maldives, 26th June 2024 – JA Manafaru, the esteemed resort nestled in the pristine Haa Alifu Atoll of the Maldives, is thrilled to announce the upcoming residency of acclaimed mixologist Federico Penzo. From July 4 to 11, 2024, guests at JA Manafaru will have the opportunity to indulge in unique cocktail experiences crafted by Penzo, while he imparts his expertise to the resort’s beverage team.

Federico Penzo, originally trained as a civil engineer, discovered his passion for mixology and bartending after finding traditional office work unfulfilling. Under the mentorship of renowned mixologists Luca Cinalli and Gabriele Manfredi, Penzo honed his skills and went on to become the Director of Bars for EDITION Hotels. His work has been featured in prestigious venues listed in “50 Best Bars” and Michelin-starred restaurants worldwide. Penzo is celebrated for his innovative approach to mixology, emphasizing connections with diverse cultures and creating memorable experiences through his craft.

This collaboration underscores JA Manafaru’s commitment to delivering exceptional and innovative food and beverage experiences. Penzo will showcase his expertise in crafting unique, sustainable cocktails, incorporating locally sourced ingredients, including the resort’s own home-brewed Kombucha, a fermented tea rich in probiotics. Fresh organic herbs, fruits, and ingredients cultivated on the island will feature prominently, promising visually stunning and flavorful concoctions for guests.
