Male’, Maldives, 30th June 2024 – This summer, The Ritz-Carlton Maldives, Fari Islands, is set to host an epicurean retreat, featuring exclusive guest residencies by renowned culinary and mixology talents. As part of the resort’s esteemed Masters of Crafts series, these events aim to deliver transformative travel experiences through exceptional food and drink, wellness, adventure, and environmental innovation.

Chef Pam Pichaya Soontornyanakij, honored as Asia’s Best Female Chef 2024, will headline at the resort’s Summer Pavilion on August 10th and 11th. Chef Pam, from Bangkok’s acclaimed POTONG, will present an exquisite eight-course tasting menu that reflects her innovative Thai-Chinese cuisine. Guests will savor her signature dishes, including the creative ‘Parts of Banana’, the unique ‘POTONG’s Pad Thai’, and the nostalgic ‘Yin Yang Noodle’. Her menu, rooted in the 5-Element philosophy, promises a culinary journey rich in flavor and storytelling.

Ahead of Chef Pam’s residency, mixologist Matteo Cadeddu from Opium, ranked #59 on Asia’s 50 Best Bars extended list, will take over the EAU Bar on August 9th and 10th. Known for his ‘liquid surrealism’ concept, Cadeddu will offer a range of inventive cocktails. Highlights include the mezcal-infused ‘Han Solo’, the gin and bergamot blend ‘Incognito’, the exotic ‘Granadaladahaha’, and the warm ‘Sun Tan’. Each drink is crafted to complement the luxurious and serene setting of the EAU Bar.

The Ritz-Carlton Maldives, Fari Islands, with its architectural elegance and stunning ocean views, provides an ideal backdrop for these events. Guests will enter the Summer Pavilion through its iconic circular ‘moon-gate’ and dine in a lantern-lit room suspended above the Indian Ocean.
