Male’, Maldives, 30th June 2024 – Kuramathi Island Resort commemorated International Yoga Day with a rich program of activities designed to promote holistic wellness among guests of all ages. From dawn to dusk, the event featured various yoga disciplines and mindfulness practices, providing participants with opportunities to enhance both physical vitality and inner peace.
The day commenced energetically at the Yoga Pavilion with sessions in Hatha, Vinyasa, Ashtanga, and Dynamic Yoga from 7:00 AM to 8:00 AM. These sessions allowed participants to synchronize their breath with movement, setting a positive tone for the day. For the resort’s younger guests, a specially curated Kids Yoga session followed from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM. Led by an experienced instructor, children engaged in interactive poses inspired by animals, fostering focus, self-awareness, and emotional regulation.
As the sun began its descent, guests gathered at the Sand Bank for an evening of Pranayama and Meditation from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM. The serene setting of Kuramathi complemented the practice of deep breathing and mindfulness, offering participants moments of tranquility and introspection.
The celebration extended beyond the mat, with creative activities at Bageecha Kids Club. Children enjoyed Yoga Freeze Dance, Yoga Art, and Beach Yoga Games, promoting physical activity, teamwork, creativity, and a deeper connection to yoga.
