Male’, Maldives, 12 August 2024 – One&Only Reethi Rah, the epitome of ultra-luxury in the Maldives, opened its doors to a select group of students from Huravee School for a unique, full-day educational programme. This initiative aimed to offer a comprehensive look into the world of high-end hospitality through the lens of one of the Maldives’ most prestigious resorts.
Huravee School, located in Hulhumale’, is the largest educational institution in the country, serving over 2,450 students with a dedicated team of 190 teachers. On this special day, 19 students from the school’s student council, along with parent chaperones and staff, including the Deputy Principal, were treated to an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of One&Only Reethi Rah.
The day began with a warm welcome and an introduction to the One&Only brand by the resort’s executive management team. The students then embarked on an immersive tour of the resort’s diverse facilities. Highlights included a visit to the Dive Center, the luxurious One&Only Spa, and several of the resort’s renowned dining venues such as the garden restaurant Botanica. The tour also took in the resort’s stunning guest villas.
In alignment with its commitment to environmental stewardship, One&Only Reethi Rah included a special presentation by the Olive Ridley Project, a charity dedicated to the recovery and rehabilitation of injured sea turtles. This aspect of the tour highlighted the resort’s efforts to promote and support conservation efforts.
The day concluded with an afternoon tea, providing the students a chance to reflect on their experiences and discuss their newfound knowledge of the hospitality industry. The visit was designed not only to educate but also to inspire the next generation of Maldivian hoteliers.
