The Hawks Pvt Lts is one of the leading companies for the import & distribution of high-quality fuel in The Maldives. The company started as fuel supply business in 2007, with one 5000-liter diesel bowser. Over the 14 years, with numbers of key strategic decisions by forward-thinking leaders the company has seen significant growth leading to successful journey.
In 2007, Hawks began by delivering fuel to boats docking at the Male’ Harbour. With only two parties in service and constant movement of supply boats and fishing boats fuel service was in high demand. Although Hawks was new business model with its fare share of challenges, the founders of Hawks, Ahmed Rasheed Hassan and Hassan Rifau were determined to start with what they have and work around the shortcomings to build its services to the customers. Thus the founders started working their magic on face to face customers interactions and building genuine connections. In 2 years time, as the business started to earn customers trust combined with efficient supply delivery, Hawks was able to gain control of fuel supply to over 85% of fishing sector of Maldives.
Once the solid foundation of customers trust was build, Hawks Pvt Ltd continued with its forward thinking and invested in its first 15,000-liter storage capacity delivery barge, in order to fill the gap between in its product availability and delivery. Today, Hawks has strong fleet of 44 vessels providing smooth operations on unmatched efficiency, including tug boats, cargo boats, ferries and speed boats etc..
Over the years, Hawks has made key decisions to improve and sustain the business while keeping its core business objective at top priority. The key drive of Hawks daily operations was the its marine fleet and maintenance of the vessels was essential for smooth transactions. Thus Hawks commenced workshops in Thilafushi, with a professional team of in house engineers and mechanics. Expanding on this success, Hawks built The Hawks Boat Yard which currently provides top-notch dry-docking services, professional boat building, fiber works, as well as refurbishments of existing vessels. The majority of Hawks boats are built from scratch and in-house with the best quality of products available on the market. Furthermore Hawks Pvt ltd has diversified its business to the construction sector, constructing hotels, guest houses and it now currently has resident buildings under construction in Hulhumale’ Phase Two. The company also own the largest privately owned fuel terminal in the Maldives at Thilafushi Island.
