From September 3rd to 7th, 2024, Chef Eunji will showcase her acclaimed edible art, transforming the resort into a haven of gourmet delight.

Chef Eunji Lee, a South Korean native, has made a name for herself in the world of pastry with her dessert gallery, Lysée, in New York City. Her journey began in France in 2006, where she studied pastry arts and honed her skills at prestigious establishments like Ze Kitchen Galerie, Le Meurice under Alain Ducasse and Cedric Grolet, and later as Executive Pastry Chef at the two Michelin-starred Jungsik in NYC. Recognized as one of La Liste’s Pastry Talents of 2023 and a 2024 James Beard Award Semi-finalist, Chef Eunji’s artistry is both acclaimed and innovative.

During her visit to JOALI Maldives, Chef Eunji will host an exclusive pastry workshop on September 7th, teaching guests how to craft the quintessential French éclair. Participants will learn to create a local fruit compote and vanilla cream, perfecting the art of piping to craft these delectable pastries. This intimate experience will take place in the resort’s state-of-the-art kitchen, Her Kitchen, known for its luxurious setting that allows guests to engage directly with top chefs.

In addition to the workshop, Chef Eunji will offer a bespoke dessert menu throughout her stay. The menu will feature her signature Lysée cake, a tropical mango tart, and a local fruit cake, each reflecting her passion for combining art with culinary excellence.
