More than ever, tourism needs strong and coordinated actions to save millions of jobs and businesses now at unprecedented risk.,”
The Maldives is witnessing a steady recovery in their tourism since borders were reopened on 15 July 2020. Numerous marketing campaigns have been launched as well by MMPRC, the Maldives Marketing & Public Relations Corporation, targeted at audiences in countries including India, UK, and China, where the Maldives is promoted as an attractive tourist destination for travelers. Since borders reopened to welcome back travelers, the country has taken necessary precautions as well as health and safety measures to ensure the comfort and well-being of both tourists and locals.
