The initiative celebrates local craftsmanship, creativity, and community while highlighting the remarkable journey of one of the Maldives’ most accomplished pastry professionals.
Founder of Maldivian Patisserie, Chef Aminath has built a distinguished career shaped by international training and experience in luxury pastry and chocolate production. Her achievements include the title of Best Maldivian Pastry Chef 2022, multiple Gold Medals at the Food and Hospitality Asia Maldives Awards, and recognition at the prestigious Asian Pastry Cup. Prior to this collaboration, she honed her craft at some of the region’s most renowned properties, including Waldorf Astoria Maldives Ithaafushi and Conrad Maldives Rangali Island.
Returning to the very resort where her journey in luxury hospitality pastry began, Chef Aminath introduces an exclusive collection of handcrafted confections that draw inspiration from the flavours and spirit of the Maldives. The bespoke assortment features delicacies such as Kanamadhu Dragée, Five-Spice Hazelnut Dragée, Cinnamon Hazelnut Dragée, Cashew Cardamom Dragée, and Orange Almond Dragée, alongside Almond Florentine, Cranberry Macadamia Cookies, Coconut Latte Cookies, and delicate Palmiers. Each creation combines refined techniques with locally inspired flavours, resulting in indulgent treats that balance authenticity with global sophistication.
Guests visiting the resort can explore the collection at a dedicated retail display within La Locanda, where the elegant confections are available to savour on-site or take home as a memorable taste of Maldivian artistry.
