Qatar Airways signs codeshare deal with Oman Air

Qatar Airways continues to expand its partnership portfolio by signing a codeshare agreement with Oman Air.

The deal would allow passengers flexibility and more choice in flights and would boost connectivity. The agreement is expected to further strengthen the strategic cooperation between the two airlines which began in 2000. The other destinations will be revealed in due time in 2021.

Qatar Airways Group chief executive, Akbar Al Baker, said: “We are pleased to further expand our code-share cooperation with Oman Air, one of the leading airlines in the Gulf region.  Now more than ever, it is important to strengthen strategic partnerships across the industry to optimize our operations and provide seamless connectivity to hundreds of destinations across the globe for our passengers. Since 2000, both airlines have seen the benefits that commercial cooperation has brought, providing our passengers with unrivaled service and more flexibility to travel when they want. The code-share agreement significantly expands options for Omar Air passengers from 3 destinations to 65 with the Qatar Airways network, which includes Africa, the Americas, Asia Pacific, Europe, India, and the Middle East. In plans to further strengthen the partnership, both airlines aim to explore joint commercial and operational initiatives as well.
