Visit Maldives has appointed CornerSun Destination Marketing as U.S. agency of record effective April 08th 2021.
Based in New York, CornerSun is a full-service destination marketing and communications consultancy specializing in working with national tourism boards and emerging destinations across the globe. Created specifically to support destinations seeking to enhance their tourism potential out of the North American market, the agency’s goal is to assist destinations and their stakeholders in finding ways to properly structure and benefit from developing a successful tourism strategy.
The agency will be tasked with simplifying visibility and consideration for Maldives among North American travelers. Responsibilities for the agency include developing and activating a comprehensive public relations and marketing strategy inclusive of traditional media outreach, travel trade relations, and digital and social media marketing.
In addition, Visit Maldives will be working closely with Cornersun in transforming the perception of Maldives from a solely luxury romance and honeymoon destination to a popular tourist destination that offers a plethora of other distinct travel experiences from nature, preservation, culture, cuisine and more.
