As part of their commitment to sustainable development, Kuramathi Maldives has introduced the launch of reusable water bottles; an eco-friendly products are ideal for keeping guests hydrated and reduce their environmental footprint.
The travel accessory is made of borosilicate glass and features a carry loop that’s ideal for on-the-go activities. This eco-friendly alternatives main aim is to further limit the number of plastic bottles that are discarded in to the ocean every year and in instead, encourages guests to take part in the resort’s sustainability goals.
An important part of their initiative is also the installation of eight water refilling stations to be found around the island – provided complimentary to the guests to conveniently replenish their water bottles, successfully eliminating the number of plastic waste.
Kuramathi Maldives guests can now show their support towards the project by purchasing these reusable water bottles. Part of it’s proceeds are to be channeled to the resort’s sustainability developments.
“As a sustainability-minded resort we always try to find ways to break from the disposable cycle in our resort operations where possible, and through these programmes, we hope that even on holiday our guests can take steps in the environmentally friendly direction,” says Alain Trefois, Director of Operations.
