Maldives Association Of Tourism Industry (MATI) has endorsed the International Maldives Travel Market (IMTM) 2021, which is set to be held virtually on the 21st to 23rd September 2021. MATI continues its support to the travel and trade event for the forth conservative year.

MATI is an NGO, which has been established since the introduction of the Tourism Industry in the Maldives. In the three decades of its service, MATI has coordinated with the government and liaise with the organizations locally and internationally to solidify their member’s services and operations in the Tourism sector. The Association coordinates with all mandatory government policy making bodies and organizations, to take part in all the related activities of the MATI members.

The Association fosters its existence throughout these years by engaging in these activities by being active on research based works, as well as promoting and raising awareness on behalf of the association members. MATI raises its concerns over government policies for the members as well as the Tourism industry as a whole. The association represents the industry and its employees internationally and locally by attending different seminars, organizing and providing research and professional consultation to the needed bodies.

IMTM is a B2B international travel and trade fair held in the Maldives. The platform brings together international buyers (Tour Operators, Travel Agents, Destination Management Companies, and PR Companies) from around the world to liaise with the local accommodation providers (Resorts, Hotels, Guesthouses, Liveaboards, Dive Centers, Local Tour Operators and Travel Agents) of Maldives.

MTM 2021 is the fourth edition of the International Maldives Travel Market, a B2B Travel and Trade Fair that unites leading tour operators, travel agencies, destination management companies and other businesses related to the tourism industry from all over the world to explore multiple prospects and opportunities to connect with major representatives of the Maldives Tourism Industry including Resorts, Hotels, Guesthouses, Liveaboards, Local Travel Agents and Tour Operators. This year IMTM aims to bring over 100 International Buyers from 20 different countries and 400 travel visitors from the whole industry.

IMTM 2021 will be held virtually on IMTMair; an in-house event management platform designed to offer user-friendly business opportunities for its participants. This year the platform has also been enhanced with new features to provide more efficient experience. Registration for the Hosted Buyers and Trade Visitors are now open through IMTIM website imtmonline.com. The participants can pay via bank transfers or opt for online payment. There are two registration types first, is the Single User Login for 56 USD and the second is a Multi User Login for 112 USD.

IMTM believes that by coming together during these trying times, the doors will open to new opportunities and growth. Similar to last year, IMTM 2021’s main objective is to equip stakeholders with a tool to Reconnect, Revive, and Grow through mutuality.
