Canareef Resort Maldives has been reopened for visitors after 2 years due to the Covid19 pandemic.

Situated in the southernmost atoll of the Maldives, Canareef Resort Maldives is a 271-villa resort on the extensive 58-hectare Herathera island. Canareef Resort Maldives presents the best of services and residences the Maldives has to offer. The resort was initially operated under the name “Herathera Resort” and was opened in the year 2007. On  15th of January 2022, Canareef Resort reopened its doors and resumed all operations after carrying out some essential renovation work to improve its overall product and offerings. During the 2-year period, Canareef Resort has added 142 rooms to its bed capacity located east of the arrival jetty.

In their press release, Canareef Resort thanked their partner, Resort Life Travels’ Managing Director Mr. Shaaz Waleed for the help in opening Canareef Resort ahead of their initial plan of reopening in April this year. In addition, Canareef Resort Maldives expressed their deepest gratitude towards the Government of The Republic of Maldives, especially from the Ministry of Tourism and Ministry of Economic Development, for their support and assistance. It further went on to thank Member of Parliament for Meedhoo Constituency, Ms. Rozaina Adam, Member of Parliament for Feydhoo Constituency, Mr. Mohamed Nihad, and Addu City Mayor Mr. Ali Nizar for the support and perseverance that they have shown.
