Male’ Maldives, 20th December 2022 – Local airline Maldivian Airlines’ reservation and ticketing call center operated in Male’ city has been moved to Fuvahmulah city and was officially opened on 16th December 2022. The call center was inaugurated by the vice president of Maldives Faisal Naseem. It has also launched a short code number (1671) that can be contacted for reservation and ticketing services.

She said the city has a large population and a large number of educated youths, and the lack of places such as resorts near Fuvahmulah suggests that there are few job opportunities available to the youth of this city and with this call centre, there will be more employment opportunities in Fuvahmulah. “We shifted the call center outside the capital to contribute to the government’s decentralization policy. This will create a lot of jobs for the youth of Fuvahmulah. It will also have a positive impact on the city’s economy,” Maldivian Airlines’ deputy managing director Jenifer said.

Jenifer said that with this change, the quality of service provided by the place, which has been serving customers for a long time, will also improve. The call center service will be available from 9am to 8pm from Saturday to Thursday. On Friday, services will be available from 2pm to 8pm.
