Male’ Maldives, 14th June 2023  –  Running from the 28 th June – 3 rd July, The Ritz-Carlton Maldives, Fari Islands will host an unforgettable Eid al-Adha to follow its milestone second anniversary. In the exquisite luxury of the design masterpiece resort, the perfect setting for an Eid escape, guests will be immersed in a curated programme of Fari Island experiences to mark the festivities.

At the heart of the holidays, a series of culinary events and performances will bring the magic to Eid al-Adha. The celebrations begin with resort’s signature Maldivian Night, serving inspired dishes fusing tropical ingredients, simple spices and flavours from the north to the south of the Maldives. On the 30 th June the pristine white sands of the ocean-side Beach Shack will play host to The Souk, presenting a dazzling sundown experience to the hypnotic rhythm of belly dancers and a live fire show. An evening of indulgence follows on the 2nd July with a Bedouin Barbeque fusing moreish flavours and a live Oud performance in the serenity of the Mystique Garden.

Guests are invited to extend their Eid celebrations and experience the electronic musical wonder of Cairo and Montreal-based performer Ash, on the 4 th and 5 th of July. Ash will perform a Sunset ‘Nomad Session’ at Mystique Garden on July 4 th , and on July 5 th , a 75 – minute sunset show including unreleased tracks, whilst ‘floating’ on an over-water stage perched above the resort’s perfectly circular infinity pool at EAU Bar.

Throughout the holidays, guests of all ages can experience a taste of traditional Maldivian culture. Adults will learn the intricate art of Kasabu, in an embroidery workshop using woven silk, metallics and cotton, made for special occasions such as Eid. Romantic painting workshops can be enjoyed beach-side at sunset, and for little ones, an engaging programme of festive activities at Ritz Kids. Junior VIPS can craft Eid decorations working with ceramics and tie-dye, get busy on a scavenger hunt and make traditional Eid cookies with the resort’s culinary team.
