Male’ Maldives, 23rd October 2023 – Mariyam Maaisha Shujau has been appointed the role of Secretary General at the National Boating Association of Maldives (NBAM).
Her appointment took place during the 10th Executive Board Meeting held in early October 2023. Maaisha is no stranger to the limelight, having played a pivotal role in managing significant events throughout the Maldives. She’s been a dedicated member of the NBAM’s executive board since 2021.
Her extensive background in sales, coupled with her years of experience in the tourism and boating sectors, undoubtedly make her a highly qualified choice for her new position as Secretary General of NBAM.
Established in 2007, the National Boating Association of Maldives (NBAM) serves as the foremost authority representing the boating industry within the Maldives.
Over the span of a decade, NBAM has diligently worked towards advancing the industry. One of their prominent annual events is the Maldives Marine Expo, the largest marine exhibition in the Maldives. This event acts as a unified platform and marketplace for businesses operating in the marine industry. Furthermore, the Annual Maldives Boating Awards serves as a grand celebration of excellence in service and products within the marine industry. This year’s edition of the Boating Awards is scheduled to take place in December 2023.
NBAM is also committed to enhancing the skills and knowledge of industry professionals. They regularly organize capacity-building programs and offer annual business and safety training initiatives, aiming to elevate the reputation of marine industry brands and businesses.
