Male’ Maldives, 26th November 2023 – Trans Maldivian Airways recently organized three interactive familiarization trips, providing invaluable experiences to students from three different schools. Fifteen students from Gdh. Faresmaathoda Huvadhoo School, twenty-five students from Dhaalu Maaen’boodhoo School, and fifty-five students from Brightway International School participated in these enriching outings.

During the visits, the students had the unique opportunity to acquire hands-on knowledge of TMA’s seaplane services and were treated to an exclusive tour of TMA’s facilities at the Noovilu Seaplane Terminal.

Engaging in interactive learning sessions led by team members from various key departments of Trans Maldivian Airways, the students were introduced to the functions and responsibilities of each department. These sessions highlighted the integral role each department plays in ensuring the seamless operations of TMA. A dynamic question and answer session followed, allowing students to inquire about job roles, educational prerequisites, career pathways, and more. The sessions were led by team members from Business Development, Human Resources, Safety & Security, Quality & Compliance, Approved Maintenance Organization (AMO), and Flight Operations.

Post the information sessions, students were given a personalized tour of TMA’s facilities, including the Guest Lounges, Boarding Gates, Seaplane Docks, and the unique experience of witnessing TMA’s world-class Maintenance Organization. This educational initiative offered the students invaluable insights into the daily workflow and a firsthand look into the operations of the World’s Largest Seaplane Operations.

Over the years, TMA has consistently supported local schools by facilitating educational visits for students of various age groups. These initiatives have proven instrumental in offering young learners a realistic perspective of the day-to-day responsibilities associated with various job roles within the company.
