Male’ Maldives, 30th November 2023 – Ibrahim Shareef Mohamed has been appointed as the Managing Director of Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL).
MACL is currently one of the highest earning state owned enterprise in the country.
Shareef, who was recently the Maldives’ Trade Representative based in Australia, previously filled the positions of Commissioner General of Customs and Chairman of the Transport Authority.
He has obtained a Masters in Commerce in Australia in 2015, and has continued to serve the country for 36 years to date.
The MACL MD position was last filled by Mahjoob Shujau during the tenure of former President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih.
