Male’ Maldives, 18th December 2023 – The Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) has announced Fathimath Thaufeeq as its new Managing Director. This recent appointment marks a significant move in her career.
Initially nominated for the position of Managing Director at the SME Development Finance Corporation (SDFC), her nomination for that role was subsequently withdrawn. Following these developments, the Privatisation and Corporatisation Board (PCB) officially appointed Fathimath Thaufeeq as the Managing Director of MMPRC this past Sunday. This pivotal role places her at the forefront of MMPRC, also known as Visit Maldives, a governmental agency dedicated to marketing and promoting the Maldives as a premier tourism destination.
Fathimath Thaufeeq brings to her new position a wealth of expertise spanning administration, human resources, procurement, and logistics. Her professional journey has encompassed diverse sectors, including marine services, waste management, and environmental protection, solidifying her experience in various fields.
