Male’, Maldives, 27th December 2023 – Virgin Atlantic has announced plans to expand its routes to Dubai, the Maldives, and Barbados for the upcoming winter season. The airline commenced thrice-weekly flights from Heathrow to the Maldives in October and intends to upgrade this service to a daily schedule for the 2024-2025 winter season.
These increased flight frequencies are currently available for purchase, featuring daily flights between London and Dubai starting from October 26, 2024. Additionally, a twice-daily service from Heathrow to Barbados will commence on October 27. Similarly, the Maldives route will operate daily from the same date.
Virgin Atlantic’s Chief Commercial Officer, Juha Jarvinen, commented on the news, stating, ‘We’re excited to offer our customers more opportunities for sunny getaways next year with our expanding leisure portfolio. Our recent route launches to Dubai and the Maldives have already proven to be exceptionally popular, and we’re pleased to enhance access to these luxurious destinations in 2024 and 2025.’
