Male’, Maldives, 29th January 2024 – The Westin Maldives Miriandhoo Resort has announced the appointment of Fahdrul Abd Malek as its new Executive Chef.

With a wealth of experience in fine dining, Chef Fahdrul is a seasoned culinary professional passionate about crafting exceptional gastronomic experiences. Hailing from Malaysia and inspired by his culinary artist family, he began his culinary journey in 1997 at the New World Hotel in Kuala Lumpur. Over the past two decades, Chef Fahdrul has become a distinguished Malaysian culinary expert.

Having worked internationally in countries such as Vietnam and Australia, Chef Fahdrul has garnered extensive experience with renowned luxury hotel groups, including Hilton, Starwood, Mandarin Oriental, and more. His commitment to excellence and innovative culinary skills have earned him recognition in the industry.

Before joining The Westin Maldives, Chef Fahdrul served as the Executive Chef at Anantara Desaru Coast Resort & Villas, where he showcased his culinary prowess and contributed to the resort’s culinary success.
