Male’, Maldives, 12th February 2024 – Maldives Tourism Minister Ibrahim Faisal has proudly announced a significant achievement, with the highest number of tourist arrivals recorded in a single day.

In a recent tweet, Minister Faisal revealed that a remarkable 10,213 tourists are expected to grace the shores of the Maldives today, surpassing the previous record set just last week when over 8,900 tourists visited the island nation.

This remarkable surge in tourist arrivals is attributed to the growing number of visitors from China, reclaiming its position as the top market before the pandemic, and Western Europe, which has long been a cherished source of tourism for the Maldives.
