Male’, Maldives, 14th February 2024 – Kuredu Island Resort and Spa, a distinguished member of Crown and Champa Resorts, proudly announced the promotion of Khemraj Bhatt to the esteemed position of Executive Chef.

With a remarkable career spanning over 19 years, Khemraj’s culinary journey commenced as a Trainee at the esteemed Grand Hyatt, New Delhi, in 2004. His dedication to the craft led him to participate in a transformative Hotel Operational Program at Oberoi Hotels, a pivotal experience that shaped his perspective and deepened his knowledge of the hospitality industry.

Throughout his illustrious career, Khemraj has held pivotal roles, including Commis 1 at Radisson and Chef De Partie at IHG – Intercontinental Hotel Group Eros, where his exceptional talent and commitment to culinary excellence shone through. He further refined his skills at Hilton Hotel, India, before assuming roles of increasing responsibility at Foodhall and Kenilworth Hotels & Resorts, where he was notably recognized as the Best Hospitality Personality among Kolkata hotels.

In 2019, Khemraj embarked on his Maldivian adventure with Atmosphere Hotels & Resorts, where he showcased his culinary prowess as Executive Chef for pre-opening Oblu Experience Ailafushi and Oblu Select Lobigili. Since joining Kuredu Island Resort and Spa as Executive Sous Chef on February 27, 2023, Khemraj has exhibited exemplary leadership and culinary creativity, enriching the dining experiences of guests.

Expressing his gratitude and excitement, Chef Khemraj Bhatt remarked, “I am deeply honored and thrilled to step into the role of Executive Chef at Kuredu Island Resort and Spa.
