Male’, Maldives, 25th March 2024 – In a bid to broaden its presence in the leisure travel sector, Malaysia Airlines has announced plans to reinstate flights to the Maldives, marking a significant move in its expansion strategy.

Scheduled to commence operations on August 1, the airline will offer daily flights connecting Kuala Lumpur to Velana International Airport in the Maldives. Prospective passengers can already book their tickets, with one-way fares priced at USD 200 and return tickets offered at USD 299.

The decision to reintroduce flights to the Maldives is part of Malaysia Airlines’ initiative to tap into emerging leisure destinations. This announcement also includes the introduction of two additional routes – Chiang Mai and Da Nang – demonstrating the airline’s dedication to broadening its network and catering to diverse travel preferences.

With the Maldives, Chiang Mai, and Da Nang added to its list of destinations, Malaysia Airlines aims to enhance accessibility and choice for travelers, reaffirming its position as a key player in the global aviation industry.
