Male’, Maldives, 4th June 2024 – Returning home with a glorious victory, the culinary team of LUX* South Ari Atoll showcased their remarkable talent and skill at the prestigious Hotel Asia Culinary Challenge held from May 13th to 15th, 2024. The event, which drew an impressive 692 participants from 71 resorts across the Indian Ocean region, is celebrated for its platform to highlight culinary excellence.

Over three exhilarating days, the competition unfolded at various locations, including an exhibition at Dharubaaruge in Malé, the Culinary Challenge at Maldives National University, and the awards ceremony at Crossroads Maldives. LUX* South Ari Atoll not only clinched the coveted title of Most Outstanding Chef, secured by Senior Sous Chef Barun Kumar Singh, but also dominated across multiple categories, amassing an impressive total of 31 awards: 6 Gold Medals, 8 Silver Medals, 8 Bronze Medals, and 8 Merit Certificates.

This outstanding performance underscores the resort’s steadfast commitment to culinary excellence and innovation. The passion and expertise demonstrated by the culinary team captivated the judges and left an indelible mark on the competition.
