Male’, Maldives, 11th June 2024 – Atmosphere Core is delighted to announce an exclusive collaboration with internationally acclaimed Japanese Sushi Chef Satoshi Tsuru, marking his first visit to the Maldives. Known for his exceptional skill and meticulous attention to detail, Chef Tsuru will lead a series of masterclasses aimed at enhancing the culinary expertise of the hoteliers’ chefs.

Chef Tsuru, celebrated for his passion for the finest details, will collaborate with Atmosphere Core’s Corporate Team to deliver these specialized masterclasses at the soon-to-open 5-star resort, RAAYA by Atmosphere, and the flagship private island, OZEN RESERVE BOLIFUSHI.

Anupam Banerjee, Vice President of Food & Beverage at Atmosphere Core, expressed enthusiasm about this unique collaboration: “In preparation for the launch of RAAYA by Atmosphere on the 4th of July, our top international head chefs have been engaging in ‘knowledge share’ sessions, training the new RAAYA team in innovative culinary techniques. We are thrilled to elevate this training by inviting Chef Satoshi Tsuru to introduce his signature ‘Sushi Happiness’ philosophy. His mission is to guide a select group of chefs in the art of Japanese cuisine, using local Maldivian ingredients. Chef Tsuru brings decades of experience from Japan’s renowned sushi establishments, including the historic Ginza Shop in Tokyo.”

In addition to the masterclasses at RAAYA, Chef Tsuru will also conduct sessions at OZEN RESERVE BOLIFUSHI, enhancing the skills of the island’s already esteemed chefs. These courses not only develop in-house talent but also celebrate the existing expertise within the F&B team. Banerjee added, “These masterclasses are as enjoyable as they are educational. I am confident that each participant will appreciate the incredible talent Chef Tsuru has demonstrated throughout his illustrious career.”

Chef Satoshi Tsuru expressed his honor at being invited: “It is a privilege to share my culinary knowledge with the talented chefs at Atmosphere Core. Japanese cooking is an art form, requiring a perfect balance of ingredients and craftsmanship. My aim is to teach not only about flavor and ingredients but also about the precision of knifesmanship and the presentation of each dish.”

Guests staying at RAAYA by Atmosphere from July 4th to 6th and at OZEN RESERVE BOLIFUSHI from July 10th to 12th will have the unique opportunity to experience Chef Tsuru’s culinary delights firsthand.
