From April 4–12, the resort’s 2026 Masters of Crafts program will offer a rare opportunity to explore the heavens from one of the world’s most breathtaking ocean vistas.
Taking a brief respite from chasing auroras across the northern hemisphere, Kerss brings his expertise south in search of Lepus the Hare—the constellation believed to inspire the original Easter Bunny. With views of both northern and southern skies, guests will uncover hidden constellations and the rich myths behind them, guided by one of the world’s leading voices in observational astronomy.
A former Royal Observatory Greenwich astronomer and Fellow of the Royal Astronomical Society, Kerss is celebrated for making the universe accessible and inspiring. His bestselling works, including Northern Lights, Diamonds Everywhere, and Unknown Universe, have captivated readers worldwide, while his expeditions and lectures spark wonder in sky-watchers of all ages.
The resort’s celestial program offers immersive experiences for both adults and children. From open-air telescope stargazing and astrophotography workshops to interactive sessions for junior stargazers through Ritz Kids, every guest can experience the night sky like never before. Anni Betts, the acclaimed illustrator of Kerss’s children’s books, brings Lepus to life across the resort—from the Mystique Garden to the Culinary Island.
