This strategic participation by Visit Maldives Corporation (VMC) comes as a key step in building momentum toward Visit Maldives Year 2027. ITB Berlin, the world’s largest travel trade show, will take place from March 3rd to 5th at Messe Berlin, offering the perfect stage for the Maldives to reaffirm its global tourism leadership.
Beyond its vibrant national pavilion, this year’s presence emphasizes immersive engagement. The revival of the Maldivian Night stands out as a premier highlight, offering an exclusive, invitation-only evening that unites top tour operators, airline partners, media representatives, travel trade executives, and industry stakeholders. Guests will celebrate the Maldives’ unique blend of hospitality, culture, and innovation in a truly memorable setting.
Co-hosted with Bank of Maldives (BML), the event will also feature the launch of BML Swipe, a cutting-edge digital payment solution designed to streamline transactions for visitors across the islands. This initiative underscores the Maldives’ commitment to enhancing the traveler experience through technology, paving the way for a seamless and enjoyable Visit Maldives Year 2027.
Complementing the evening, VMC will hold a high-level international press conference, where a major announcement to the global travel industry is expected. The Maldives pavilion, presented under the brand “Maldives… The Sunny Side of Life,” will highlight the destination’s diversity and appeal. With robust participation from industry stakeholders, the pavilion aims to strengthen B2B partnerships, deepen market engagement, and support sustainable growth in visitor arrivals.
