Six Senses Laamu is set to reopen and welcome visitors starting from 1 August 2020.

The resort is also offering a plan now, play later package, which is inclusive of 20% bonus for room upgrade or any purchases on the property including dining, spa treatments, and activities. The package is available until December 20, 2020, and is valid for a period of three years from the date of issue.

Furthermore, the resort states that they are adjusted to new travel standards and expectations and is committed to providing peace of mind to the visitors through their enhanced cleanliness standards

The standards include frequent sanitization of high touch surfaces and high traffic areas, enhanced training protocols for staff, social distancing, among other strict protocols to eliminate any risk of infection. In addition to the visitors, the health and well-being of staff also remain a top priority. 

Six Sences Laamu is the only resorts in the pristine Laamu atoll, with most of the villas and facilities, built over water. The resort is located 35-minute domestic flight from the Velana International Airport, with an additional 15-minute speedboat ride to the resort accompanied by a butler.

The resort host one of the largest teams of marine biologists in the Maldives, the Maldives Underwater Initiative (MUI). Staff from Six Senses Laamu and its three partner NGOs: Manta Trust, Blue Marine Foundation, and Olive Ridley Project work together under the banner of MUI and seek to lead the tourism industry in the Maldives with meaningful marine conservation efforts based on research, education and community outreach.
