Maldives Association of Travel Agents & Tour Operators (MATATO) has endorsed the International Maldives Travel Market (IMTM) 2020, which is set to be held virtually on the 16th and 17th of November 2020 (updated on 21st October 2020).

Maldives Association of Travel Agents & Tour Operators (MATATO) was found in 2006 by a group of enthusiastic tour operators in the Maldives. The association has evolved over the years to be a leading non-profit organization in the country and at the forefront of the Maldivian tourism industry.

For the past twelve years, MATATO has provided continuous support and service to the travel and tourism industry, by taking it forward through unity, empowerment, and co-operation. It has played a vital role in the Maldivian tourism arena, with lobbying and advocacy as a crucial pillar of MATATO. The organization also provides exposure to events like IMTM and other activities through its members in the international arena. It helps to develop greater cooperation among travel agents and hoteliers and work together in promoting the Maldives as a travel destination.

IMTM is a B2B international travel and trade fair held in the Maldives. The platform brings together international buyers (Tour Operators, Travel Agents, Destination Management Companies, and PR Companies) from around the world to liaise with the local accommodation providers (Resorts, Hotels, Guesthouses, Liveaboards, Dive Centers, Local Tour Operators, and Travel Agents) of Maldives.  

IMTM 2020 is the third of its edition and the first virtual B2B exhibition to be held on the travel and tourism industry in the Maldives. It offers the opportunity to conduct business virtually, equipping stakeholders with a tool to Reconnect, Revive, and Grow the business.
