The leading telecommunications provider of the Maldives, Dhiraagu becomes the Digital Media Partner of IMTM 2020. The virtual fair takes place on the platform, IMTMair Platform, on the 16th and 17th of November, 2020.

Dhiraagu is one of the leading provider of telecommunications and digital services in the Maldives offering a comprehensive range of mobile, internet, data, fixed-line, and TV services throughout the Maldives. 

BTC Islands Limited (Batelco) holds 52%, and the Government of the Maldives holding 41.8%, are the two substantial shareholders of Dhiraagu. The remaining 6.2% of shares are held by the general public. 

The company holds one of the largest retail and distribution networks in the nation with 49 exclusive partners, 27 wholesalers, 40 distributors, 182 agents, 8 overseas agents and over 3,800 retailers across the country.

The IMTM 2020 virtual event aims to Reconnect, Revive and Grow the travel industry by providing international buyers, including tour operators and agencies, a platform with the opportunity to conveniently connect and conduct business with local accommodation providers, such as resorts, hotels, and guest houses, located in the Maldives, during such strenuous times.

With international buyers from multiple countries, IMTM strives to bring in more tourists from around the world to the Maldives, to contribute to the recovery of tourism in the archipelago. The Maldives is steadily witnessing a surge in tourist arrivals since borders were reopened on 15 July.
