With the vaccination of over three quarters of the Singaporean population – Singapore is cautiously moving to re-open borders through the introduction of vaccinated travel lanes (VTL).

Set to kick start the operation with Germany and Brunei, starting from September 8th – travelers who have received both doses of Pfizer-BioTech, Moderna or any other vaccines listed under the World Health Organization emergency use list, such as Sinovac and AstraZeneca – will be permitted into the country quarantine free.

Travelers arriving from Germany and Brunei must take four Covid tests – one/two days before departure, one upon arrival, one on the third day they’re residing in the country and one on day seven.

The arrangement is a “welcome move and seems to be justified in light of Singapore’s successful vaccination campaign,” said German Ambassador to Singapore, Norbert Riedel.
