Male’, Maldives, 25th May 2022 – Aspiring footballers are being given the once in a lifetime opportunity to learn from one of the world’s best young professional players. Australian national team player and Olympique Lyonnais defender, Ellie Carpenter, wishes to pay it forward to those who dream of playing on a team one day – or just want to improve their skills – by sharing her expertise with them.
As such, Ellie Carpenter is set to lead a very Special Football Camp in Paradise on 5th, 6th and 7th July 2022. Accompanied by her former academy coaches, former professional footballers, and current directors of Futboltec Jason and Glen Trifiro, the group will share their knowledge and provide an enjoyable football experience for all involved.
The special guest coach made her debut for the Australian national team at just 15, making her the country’s first international soccer player to be born in the 21st century. She also later became the youngest Australian competitor in the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, and the youngest ever female footballer to compete at the Olympics.
Ellie commented, “Amilla Maldives is one of my favourite places to travel in the world and I have always enjoyed my time on the island. I am grateful for the opportunity to give back to the children through this football camp and I am so excited to travel back to Paradise.”
Guests at Amilla will be able to attend Football Camp in Paradise free of charge. Taking place over the three consecutive days, attendees can train with Ellie from 4pm to 6pm daily, when the sun is less strong.
