Male’, Maldives, 28th December 2023 – Nurain Janah has been appointed to the role of Chairperson on the MMPRC Board. Presently, she serves as the Vice Chair at Hotels & Resorts Investment Maldives (HARIM), where she supervises the diversification and long-term strategies across a diverse portfolio encompassing hotels and resorts, construction technology, and marine products.

Moreover, Nurain Janah holds the position of Executive Vice Chair at Hotels Resorts Construction Pvt Ltd, a respected contracting firm specializing in comprehensive resort building construction services. This second-generation family business, headquartered in the Maldives, has established a global presence through notable projects like the Anantara Banana Island Resort in Doha and Waldorf Astoria Maldives Ithaafushi.

With a decade-long career as a Chartered Accountant (CA), Nurain boasts extensive experience as a non-executive director in philanthropic, startup, and public sectors. She currently serves as a Trustee at Foundation North, a distinguished philanthropic grant provider. Her professional history includes managing restructuring, insolvencies, and bankruptcies during her managerial tenure at EY New Zealand’s Turnaround and Restructuring Strategy team.

In addition to her corporate commitments, Nurain Janah is the Founder of Rehendhi Coaching & Consulting, a social enterprise dedicated to innovating executive leadership by integrating collectivist cultures and indigenous frameworks. Her qualifications extend to being a certified transformational coach by the Coach Masters Academy. Furthermore, she holds the role of Founder & CEO at Authenticity Aotearoa, a charitable organization aimed at empowering women of color to embrace their authentic selves.
