Male’, Maldives, 31st December 2023 – Six Senses Kanuhura is excited to welcome Lucas Beaufort, a French visionary artist-painter, to celebrate a colorful Art Week from January 17 to 24, 2024. During his stay, Lucas will be creating art in various locations at Six Senses Kanuhura, and all guests are invited to participate.
Originally hailing from Cannes, Lucas is a passionate traveler who continuously seeks inspiration from new destinations and the people he encounters on his journey. His art emanates from a world of joy and optimism, accentuating themes of diversity and love. Each painting embodies interwoven characters coming together in moments of happiness.
During his island stay, Lucas will explore every nook and cranny, drawing inspiration from the location’s essence – its vibrant colors, textures, fabrics, and natural elements – as well as interactions with individuals he meets. All guests are encouraged to engage with Lucas, either by joining the artistic process, sharing their inspirations, discussing painting techniques during workshops, or simply observing his creative journey unfold.
Lucas expressed, “I live in a world surrounded by imaginary characters – kind but mischievous monsters – that help me build a positive image of the world and guide my choices every day. The Maldives has always been one of my favorite places to visit. It is surrounded by thousands of shades of blue, and I love every single color of its natural color palette. I am very excited to be visiting Six Senses Kanuhura to find inspiration in the natural beauty of the island, guests, the multicultural team of hosts, and the stories they all have to share.”
The Art Week grand finale and big reveal will culminate on Tuesday, January 23, 2024, during a beachside cocktail event. Lucas will be delighted to engage in discussions and answer any questions about his travels, art, and inspiration.
