Male’, Maldives, 18th January 2024 – Sun Siyam Vilu Reef, the ultimate tropical boutique hideaway, proudly hosted students and lecturers from Milan-Bicocca and IULM University, Italy, as part of a special educational initiative organized by the MaRHE Center of the University of Milano-Bicocca, led by Elena dell’Agnese and Claudio Melli. The purpose of this collaboration was to deepen awareness and understanding of sustainable tourism practices in the pristine Maldivian environment.

Taking place on January 15, 2024, the visit allowed enthusiastic students and seasoned lecturers from Milan-Bicocca and IULM University to explore Sun Siyam Vilu Reef’s sustainability initiatives. The resort’s dedicated sustainability team guided the visitors through various aspects of their eco-friendly practices, demonstrating a steadfast commitment to responsible tourism.

Printey, the representative of the Sustainability team at Sun Siyam Vilu Reef, expressed delight at hosting the students and lecturers from Milan-Bicocca and IULM University in collaboration with the MaRHE Centre.
