Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) has announced the retirement of Moosa Solih and appointed Mr. Gordon Andrew Stewart as their Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director.

According to the announcement, Moosa Solih retired after 39 years of service and the company acknowledged his services over the years and thanked him for his contribution.

Mr. Moosa Solih joined the nation’s main airport as an engineer right after completing his studies from Al-Azhar University in the Egyptian capital Cairo in the early 1980s. During his long and distinguished career, he served in several senior positions, including as the Chief Operating Officer and Deputy Chief Information Technology Officer.

The management of the company is now taken over by Mr. Gordon Andrew Stewart, who was appointed as the new CEO and MD of MACL in a company-wide circular on June 28, 2020. 

According to the circular, Mr. Gordon is a British National with over 30 years of international management experience in the Aviation and Transportation industry across Europe, MENA, Asia, and North America, including 20 years at Executive and Board Level.
