The applications will remain open until January 31, 2024, providing an exceptional opportunity for Maldivian talent to venture into the hospitality industry. Since its launch in January 2023, Oaga Art Resort has captured global attention with its unique concept of the Veyoge Gallery Pool Villas. These accommodations seamlessly incorporate art within their lavish space, showcasing artwork by nearly 40 local artists and displaying 160 carefully chosen pieces on the walls throughout the past year. The resort is seeking fresh talent to curate a new collection for 2024.

Drawing from their experience of the past year, the in-house curator, Nadee, highlights the challenges of pricing and sizing artwork for optimal appeal to guests. To address this, the open call provides clear guidelines on recommended dimensions and pricing strategies, ensuring artists receive the best possible support for their submissions.
Suvāsthi Gallery routinely hosts Caravan exhibitions within the resort, allowing all island guests to appreciate the diverse collection. Moreover, local artists are regularly invited to reside on the island, fostering deeper connections and enriching the guest experience.
