With over two decades of experience in the hospitality industry, Areef brings a wealth of expertise and dedication to his new role, having been a part of the Crown and Champa Resorts (CCR) family since February 2000.
During his tenure at CCR, Areef has showcased his versatility and commitment through various roles at Meeru Maldives Resort Island. His journey within the company included stints as Corporate Trainee, Special Project Manager, Executive Housekeeper, Operations Manager, Sales and Marketing Manager, and HR Manager. His outstanding performance and steadfast dedication have led to his well-deserved promotion to General Manager at Kagi Maldives Resort and Spa.
Areef’s path to leadership has been marked by continuous learning and professional development. He successfully completed the prestigious General Managers Program at Cornell University, New York, USA, in June 2023. Additionally, Areef holds a Bachelor’s Degree in International Hospitality Management, further enriching his qualifications to lead Kagi Maldives Resort and Spa.
