Male’, Maldives, 18 July 2024 – Minor Hotels has appointed Judd Rabbidge as the new General Manager of Avani+ Fares Maldives Resort, effective July 2024. Bringing a wealth of experience and a passion for exceptional guest experiences, Rabbidge will oversee operations at the upscale lifestyle resort located in the Baa Atoll.

A seasoned professional in the hospitality industry, Rabbidge, an Australian national, most recently served as the Hotel Manager at W Sydney, where he played a pivotal role in the pre-opening phase of the largest W Hotel globally. His career also includes a successful tenure as Director of Sales and Marketing at W Bali – Seminyak, where he elevated the resort’s status among luxury travelers. Prior to joining Minor Hotels, Rabbidge held senior management positions with the Mantra Group, contributing to the group’s growth and success.

Stuart De San Nicolas, Cluster General Manager for Minor Hotels in the Maldives, expressed confidence in Rabbidge’s leadership abilities, noting his proven track record in driving guest satisfaction and profitability. “We are thrilled to welcome Judd Rabbidge to the Avani+ Fares Maldives team,” De San Nicolas stated, emphasizing Rabbidge’s strategic acumen and industry insights.

Rabbidge holds a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Hospitality, Tourism, and Business Management from the Pacific International Hotel Management School in New Plymouth, New Zealand. His appointment underscores Minor Hotels’ commitment to enhancing guest experiences and driving growth in the competitive Maldives hospitality market.
