Male’, Maldives, 19 July 2024 – JOALI BEING is thrilled to announce that German tennis professional, Mischa Zverev, will be hosting tennis workshops from August 9th to 19th, 2024. Young guests are invited to join the Ace Academy workshops this summer, where they can learn tennis fundamentals and participate in exciting matches. Zverev will also conduct a special workshop for teenagers from the local community, supporting youngsters with diabetes through the Alexander Zverev Foundation.

Mischa Zverev, who achieved a career-high ATP singles ranking of world No. 25, is known for his impressive victory over world No. 1 Andy Murray at the 2017 Australian Open. Zverev began playing tennis at the age of two under the guidance of his father, Alexander, a former ATP pro. Mischa is the elder brother of Alexander Zverev, who was ranked as high as world No. 2 by the ATP. Together, they made history as the first brothers to reach the third round at the same Grand Slam event since Byron and Wayne Black in the 1998 Australian Open.

The B’Kidult Summer Programme at JOALI BEING launched on July 1st, 2024, welcoming adventurers of all ages to experience joy, discovery, and connection. Mischa Zverev will lead two sessions of the Ace Academy camp on August 15th and 17th. These workshops will focus on hand-eye coordination, footwork drills, and cardio. Guided by Zverev, young players will develop essential life skills and a love for tennis in a fun, supportive environment. In addition to improving speed and agility, the workshops will foster resilience and teamwork, allowing youngsters to command the court with confidence and share their progress with family members.

Following a successful local community workshop with the Zverev brothers in 2022, JOALI BEING is excited to welcome Mischa Zverev back to inspire teenagers from a neighboring local island. “I am deeply honored to return to the island of wellbeing, where we have created moments of joy and inspiration together with the team, guests, and local community. I am very much looking forward to sharing my passion and motivating youngsters once again. JOALI BEING is truly my favorite place on earth,” said Zverev.

JOALI BEING caters to multi-generational travelers, offering a transformative and transcendent journey for all. The B’Kidult program incorporates elements of nature into each space and activity, enhancing sensory experiences and fostering a closer relationship with the earth. The Four Pillars of JOALI BEING—Mind, Skin, Microbiome, and Energy—are brought to life through experiential learning and active engagement. Mischa Zverev will visit JOALI BEING with his family and participate in multi-generational activities such as culinary classes, herbology workshops, yoga, sound baths, marine conservation, snorkeling adventures, and transformational wellbeing experiences.

Since its opening in late 2021, JOALI BEING has continuously supported and inspired local communities. In November 2022, the Zverev brothers visited JOALI BEING as part of Alexander Zverev’s recovery journey from an injury. They hosted tennis workshops for guests and local children, supporting youngsters with diabetes. The Alexander Zverev Foundation was launched to help young people with diabetes lead active and healthy lives, particularly supporting children with type 1 diabetes and aiming to prevent type 2 diabetes.

JOALI BEING offers villas starting from $2700 per night based on two persons sharing an Ocean Pool Villa on a B&B basis. Wellbeing Programmes start from $1,693 per person for a five-night programme.
