Male’, Maldives, 05 August 2024 – Maldivian, the national airline of the Maldives, has introduced a new connectivity option for passengers traveling to Gaafu Alifu Kooddoo (GKK). Effective immediately, travelers on Maldivian’s early morning flight Q2260 to GKK can now seamlessly transfer to the RTL ferry services, streamlining their journey to various destinations.

This new integration ensures that passengers arriving on Maldivian’s early flight will have a smooth connection to the RTL ferry, which operates daily between Gaafu Alifu Villingili and Gaafu Alifu Kooddoo. The ferry departs at 9:30 AM and arrives at 9:40 AM, providing a convenient link for travelers.

This enhancement reflects Maldivian’s ongoing commitment to improving passenger convenience and connectivity across the Maldives. The collaboration with RTL, part of the ‘Integrated National Public Ferry Network’ initiative, aims to provide efficient and reliable transportation between islands.

RTL ferries, operated by the Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC), are known for their speed, safety, and comfort, aligning with the national effort to enhance inter-island travel.

Maldivian continues to offer extensive connectivity with its fleet serving 16 domestic airports and international destinations including India, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka, and is complemented by its specialized seaplane services for comprehensive transportation options.
