Male’, Maldives -31st March 2026 – The Maldives’ renowned hospitality brand, Sun Siyam Group, has announced a series of senior leadership promotions, underscoring its commitment to nurturing internal talent while strengthening its long-term strategic vision. These appointments reflect the group’s continued focus on operational excellence, forward-thinking planning, and a people-centric organisational culture.
At the forefront of this development is the appointment of Aisha Faiz as Head of the Planning Department. Bringing with her more than two decades of experience across finance and business operations, Aisha is set to guide the department’s strategic direction with a strong emphasis on efficiency, accountability, and performance optimisation. Her extensive background in procurement, logistics, and operational management positions her to enhance cost control measures and ensure seamless execution of projects across the group.
In parallel with her new role, Aisha will continue to serve as Chief Operating Officer, maintaining oversight of the Purchasing Department. This dual responsibility allows for a cohesive and integrated approach between procurement and planning, reinforcing streamlined operations across key business functions. Her international academic credentials and entrepreneurial experience abroad add valuable perspective to her leadership, while her longstanding association with the group reflects a deep-rooted connection to its evolution.
Further strengthening the leadership team, Ahmed Ibrahim has been promoted to Director of Human Resources and Talent Development. Having previously led training and development initiatives within the organisation, Ahmed has played a pivotal role in enhancing employee capabilities, cultivating a strong corporate culture, and introducing impactful leadership programmes.
In his expanded capacity, Ahmed will oversee all aspects of human resources, including talent acquisition, employee engagement, performance management, and organisational development. With over 20 years of expertise in HR and talent strategy, his leadership is expected to elevate workforce engagement while supporting the group’s long-term organisational ambitions.
