Visit Maldives Corporation Opens Creatoll for Public Beta Testing

Male’, Maldives -5th May 2026 – Visit Maldives Corporation has officially launched the public beta phase of Creatoll, its new digital content platform designed to connect creators with the Maldives’ tourism ecosystem. The move opens the door for photographers, videographers, and travel storytellers to explore the platform early and contribute to its refinement ahead of its full-scale release.

Creatoll was developed as a dedicated marketplace where visual storytellers can showcase, license, and monetise content inspired by the Maldives. More than a content hub, it is positioned as a collaborative space linking creators with tourism brands and global audiences seeking authentic, experience-driven narratives from the islands.

Before opening to the public, the platform underwent an internal testing phase involving a curated group of creators and industry professionals. This period helped shape a smoother and more intuitive user experience. Improvements were made to streamline content uploads, simplify navigation, and enhance overall usability, ensuring the platform is more accessible and creator-friendly.

The newly launched beta phase now extends access to a wider creative community, though participation remains limited to the first 30 registrations. This controlled rollout allows for focused feedback and continuous improvement as the platform evolves.

Speaking on the launch, Ibrahim Shiuree highlighted that Creatoll is being built in collaboration with its users. He noted that the beta stage is not only about testing features but also about shaping a platform that reflects the real needs of both creators and content users across the industry.

At its core, Creatoll showcases curated visuals capturing the Maldives beyond its postcard image—quiet island moments, cultural textures, and everyday life shaped by the ocean. From golden light over lagoons to candid scenes of local island communities, the platform offers a growing archive of destination storytelling.

It is designed to evolve into a central creative space where Maldivian creators gain international exposure while visiting artists contribute fresh perspectives on the islands. This exchange of visual narratives is expected to enrich how the Maldives is experienced and represented globally.

Creators and industry stakeholders interested in participating can register through Creatoll using professional credentials. Participants are encouraged to actively test features, explore the marketplace tools, and share feedback that will guide the platform’s development in the lead-up to its official public launch.
